Where is Grenada?

Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique is a tr-island state in the Southern Caribbean, 12 degrees north of the equator. It is celebrated for its lush green vegetation, cascading hillsides, picturesque white sand beaches and its world class variety of spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon which led to it being dubbed the island of spice.

Grenada has a thriving Investment Migration industry where people may obtain citizenship by investment that is, by investing in either the National Transformation Fund or by purchasing property in an approved real estate development. The island has high end real estate developments including Six Senses Resort, InterContinental Resort and Silver Sands Resorts. Those are complemented by a vibrant tourism industry which features accommodation options such as Spice Island Beach Resort, Sandals, Calabash and Raddison.

The island has one of the most thriving yachting and sailing industries standing as one of the premier yachting centres in the Caribbean region. The Grenada Sailing Festival and Billfish tournament are hosted annually commencing in the month of January and the Carriacou Regatta takes place annually during the first week of August. Complimentary to the sailing industry, is the Grenada Ship Registry which facilitates the registration of vessels, transfer of shares, mortgages and all matters related to merchant shipping.

There is great ease to doing business in Grenada. It is an English speaking island which also uses the Eastern Caribbean Dollar as its currency but the United States Dollar is widely used and accepted. The incorporation of companies take place on average within 3 to 5 business days, the taxation system is uncomplicated, there are no estate taxes, and numerous well known commercial banks provide banking services. Grenada’s legal system follows the common law being a former colony of Great Britain and it is part of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court which has two Commercial Courts. Decisions of the High Court may be appealed to the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal which is an itinerant Court with the final appeal court in Grenada is the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council which is based in London, England.

Where is St. Kitts and Nevis?

The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis is the smallest independent state in the Americas. St. Kitts is 65 square miles and Nevis is 36 square miles with a population of approximately 47,000 people. Nevis is separated from St. Kitts by only two miles of water called The Narrows with a trip between the islands ranging from 7 minutes to 45 minutes.

St. Kitts and Nevis also boasts a Citizenship by Investment Program which started in 1984 – the oldest economic citizenship program in the Caribbean. There is no residency requirement to qualify for citizenship and the St. Kitts and Nevis passport affords the holder visa-free travel to hundreds of countries and territories worldwide including the United Kingdom and the Schengen Area Member States in Europe.

Nevis is a competitive International Financial Centre being the home to the jurisdictions offshore and financial services sectors where individuals can incorporate IBCs, LLCs, Trusts, Foundations and numerous other types of structures to conduct business internationally.

The legal system in the St. Kitts and Nevis is based on the English Common Law. St. Kitts and Nevis is part of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.
